Slurs should not have an impact on timing, so something else is going on here from the sounds of it…
When I play slurs I think my fingers are to fast and have been unsuccessful with making them sound nice and or as if they are even supposed to be there

When I got my violin, it had the sad “Celtic/Gypsy” sound. I haven’t been able to find the correct string type and brand to reproduce the same sound. I am frustrated and sometimes just don’t play because I hate the “bright” sound. Can you help.
