  1. I was practicing rn and felt like wth i am nottt improving but at the same time i saw this video thank you 😭❤

  2. Especially as an adult learning violin, we will often have very high standards for our play and frustration that we are not where we want to be. Constantly reminding myself that my kids had orchestra class every day in school for an hour (along with practice that we made them do every day), along with young minds that can learn things much more quickly and easily, this helps to temper my frustrations. Thank you for this video, as it is very helpful to be reminded of specific things we can look at to measure our progress over time — even if that progress may be slower than we would like.

  3. 👍Thanks for this.. been depressed
lately about stagnation, but all the signs of improvement are there, just need to stay relaxed and realistic about progress..😉

  4. I can do some sheet music I couldn’t do before, tone is good now, intonation good, but I’m at 5 years playing and still don’t play like I hear it in my head! I’m struggling wth higher position notes to give things a softer sound, I started when I was 68 so I don’t want to plateau now!

  5. First! 😊 BTW: I’ve answered “yes” to all of your questions. Yippee! 🎻🎶

  6. I like that you mentioned awareness. I’m reading “The Inner Game of Music” and awareness is one of the three key skills. I’ve noticed that my muscle memory is starting to form.
