I hate to break the 108 comments, but I must to say that you did an excellent job! Great to see more love in Australia for Gensou Suikoden. I am up to the end of the original Suikoden after an 11 year break. I am excited to play II again! More people need to play these games. We need Remasters of III, IV and V and hopefully we can get a Gensou Suikoden VI.
we do get the next main game called Suikoden Star Leap. but it’s mobile game despite listed as main series.
@Scatterblades True and I am hyped for it. It will be coming to consoles as well by the looks of it. I feel like they are trying to tread as carefully as possible with this revival. III, IV, Tactics and V will be trickier if they choose to remaster/remake them, but playing the remasters, I have hope.
Or a complete version of IV cuz even though I enjoyed it for what it was, the game felt incomplete
@penske_material Yeah, IV was really good imo, but out of all of the games, it was given the hardest task with a new team, using an engine not designed for RPGs and there was a short amount of time to make it. Combined with Tactics it adds a heap to the story, but people shouldn’t have to play a companion game of a different style to get more out of the main game. I would like to see a fusion of the two if possible.
@MigrantBirdStudio I didn’t know many of those details. All I know is that it was the first game made without the creator. I did appreciate that they tried to go back to the roots after how different 3 was.

My brother and I had this remaster on wishlist for months 😅. Bought it the moment it went on sale.
One of the biggest games of our childhood. The whole premise of recruiting fighters that builds your castle and army. Was just amazing. Awesome story as well.

If I could give you an upvote for every time I’ve watched this it would make me so happy. This is so beautiful and captivating that I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve watched it. You are amazingly talented. This is also one of the best games I’ve ever played and the double pack is a dream come true. I finish both games and got the best ending. It’s just not right unless all the friends get to live happily ever after in my book.
