I discovered your music a few days ago. Time stopped and I spent three hours sobbing to myself, overwhelmed by nothing and everything all at once. I don’t have the words to describe exactly how your music makes me feel. I’m still young, and your music completely shattered me, then little by little, the pieces came back together, welded by an inner calm and peace I’d never known. I was able to take a step back from a life in which everything follows one another, from an increasingly sick world that I thought was lost forever.
To all of you, be happy, smile, trust in yourself and find peace. Believe in a better world and, above all, find and give love to those around you.
Jacob, thank you for your music, it heals and repairs souls, embellishes life and the world. I wish you and your family strength and courage as you face this tragedy. I hope with all my heart that life will offer you another child, a child you can see grow up and to whom you can offer all your love.

This was the first song my late mother learned to play. It might be insanely well known and played currently, especially as a purely instrumental song, but to my five-year old self it sounded like a fairytale come to life. The echo of this recording sounds eerily similar to the one I’d hear in our living room when I’d hover over the piano. She would still move her fingers in the air for practice or fun when she heard certain songs. Cancer took her may of this year, I was 18, and it’s quite nice to play this on loop while I go about my day and take care of her memorial garden. I’m terribly sorry for your loss, and while I’m not too spiritual I like to think some mothers go early to take care of angel babies ❤ She was mother to a preemie herself
