    1. They ran out of money to do them, probably. They don’t even get 1/10th the views that they did 10 years ago.

  1. This sounds awesome guys! I hope to see you do a music video to it! 😄🙌

  2. One fateful day, I saw the Piano Guys’ video of Beethoven’s Five Secrets. That moment made me realize I wanted to play the cello and keep music in my life forever. That was 13 years ago, and because of it, I’ve been given the best opportunities in my life. I’ve never stopped playing and I never will. My inspiration is the Piano Guys.

    1. Bro that is so cool!😊
I stared playing the cello for the same reason!

    2. Maybe you’ll share YouTube videos one day. ❤ I love that you were inspired and are doing what you’re doing.

  3. I have been wanting to hear the Piano Guys perform music from How to Train Your Dragon for years! This is incredible!

    1. Seriously… It was the whole reason I loved these guys. Just releasing a soundtrack is SO BORING! The reason they got so popular back in the day was BECAUSE of the locations they went to and how they achieved the look in the final video. They’re so bland now it makes me annoyed…

  4. I never would’ve thought we’d get a Piano Guys arrangement for How to Train Your Dragon, but boy am i happy to see it!

  5. Missing the videos with you guys in the video. makes the music so much better to see the happiness when you play.

    1. I could not agree more!!!!! I’m so sad they stopped doing those. Wonder why? They don’t even have to make them elaborate. Just them in a room or on a stage is fine. It’s still the point of seeing them, their smiles, passion, and joy!

    2. If I don’t see him/they play, then I don’t know that the two principles did it. “The Piano Guys” could mean any performers now.

    3. Yup, I miss those videos with them actually playing in it as well; so much nicer than an admittedly fairly decent screen saver.

  6. As a professional musician, (violinist, composer, orchestrator, arranger etc) – I’m saddened to see NOTHING human in this video. The music? MIDI Samples (no live performers – even the piano!). The image? AI. TPG used to be the pinnacle of live, bespoke musical arrangements. As someone who uses orchestral sample libraries as part of my job – yours are poorly programmed and mixed. It hurts even more that this is my all time favorite score. So to summarize, a 16 year old in a bedroom with a laptop, basic software and headphones could have created this video. It’s cost them nothing to jump on this film release and profit. Even my small channel now dwarfs TPG regarding output! I find orchestra’s to collaborate with. I bought a piano. I bought microphones. It’s not a high bar for individuals, let alone an organization the size of TPG. How the mighty have fallen.

    1. I was excited for another Piano Guy adventure, but the instant I clicked, my heart fell. AI is slowly sapping true creativity from the world!

    2. This feels very un-piano guys. Quality wise. Agree with 100% of the comment.

    3. The piano sounds real to me. I immediately turn off anything that sounds like a MIDI program. This one sounds like the timbre of an actual piano. Yeah, I loved the live videos too, but this music sounds perfectly great imo.

  7. I was sooo hoping there’d be a video. Great music, but the videos made my childhood.

    1. Please also go listen to Anna Lapwood’s OTHERWORLDLY cover of this on the Massive Royal Albert Hall Pipe Organ!

  8. Miss it being Jon and Steven videoed while they play! Got to meet them at a concert over 10 years ago when they played in Pittsburgh. It was amazing in an old tv studio where Mr. Rodgers used to film, just folding chairs and no stage. To see them perform was pure enjoyment and sparked energy into my music teaching.

Come back in front of the camera, guys!!! That’s what made your videos so enjoyable, just you and your instruments, especially when you didn’t play them quite conventionally.

  9. Absolutely lovely. Listening to this transported me back to when the first film was released, watching Hiccup and Toothless taking the leap to trust each other in order to live a fuller life. My little sister and I cheered them on with every turn. Well done. 😊

  10. Thank you for recreating a childhood favorite with the same grand emotion as the original, but with the beauty of the piano! You guys are truly incredible! Keep up the wonderful work if lifting peoples spirits with your music!!

  11. Jon & Steve – You finally did it!! My husband and I met you on that cruise to Mexico in Jan 2023. We told you our family has been fans since the beginning, and our kids grew up DYING for you to do a HTTYD cover. We love it! Thanks for putting your trademark spin on this classic. My kids are grown now, and they still share Piano Guys with their friends. Your music will always be a part of us.

  12. This video made me incredibly sad – where in the past The Piano Guys’ videos used to make me so happy. I miss your smiling faces, watching your fingers ply such amazing craft, the ingenuity of the locations you chose. AI is not the answer, guys.

  13. Never seen TPG perform live, but I’ve been a huge fan when my local PBS station aired a televised concert of their many years ago. Just seeing their energy, chemistry, happiness, and passion for music got me hooked as a fan. “Thousand Years” is still one of my favorite songs.

  14. ✨ Absolutely breathtaking! The Piano Guys took “Test Drive” from How to Train Your Dragon to another level. 🎹🔥 The cinematic arrangement makes me feel like I’m flying with Toothless and Hiccup again 🐉💫 Pure magic!
