Thank you, David, for sharing your immense musical knowledge with all of us! May your success continue to grow over the years!
how
David, you are very good at what you do,both musically and presentaionally. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Piano was your last name after all! Great to know
😂
Which was weird as he was a guitarist for years but could never really get the hang of it
You’ve been my favourite music theory channel for several years now, and I wouldn’t have nearly as much of an interest or understanding of music as I do today if it weren’t for you, so getting to know more about you like this is great. Thanks. On that note, are you ever going to bring back live streams, whether it’s on Twitch or YouTube? I rather miss those.
Thank you! Livestreams is something I would like to do again at some point! Things are so busy at the moment but perhaps in the new year there will be time 😊
Yes!
Something I didn’t know about David Bennett Piano: he uses a windows 98 screensaver.
This was a really cool video though. I love the idea and would love to see more YouTubers doing stuff like this.
Much love, and many thanks to you for all the knowledge you share David.
LOL, I wonder how many out there don’t know what that is. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh, I think it could also be Windows NT. Cheers, Célestin
Windows 95 and Microsoft Plus?
hahaha i was very distracted by this
my favorite along with the flying windows screensaver
Dear David, Thank you so much for all simple and detailed explanations about music theory and Piano tips. I am brazilian and I feel blessed to be able to access such relevant knowledge. I am 60 years old and only now I am able to dedicate myself to this wonderfull world of Music.
Thank you!!!
Kids and young musicians today are so lucky to have people like David helping them learn about creating music. Even back in the 90s, it was so much more difficult, and I took a music theory class in high school just because I wanted to write pop songs (and was frustrated about how little I actually learned about that). The amount of musical education people can receive now thanks to YouTubers like David Bennett, Rick Beto and Adam Neely is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to hear the music kids growing up in this type of environment create.
Don’t forget us old-timers! I have fiddled with music since I was a kid, but so many concepts of music theory and songwriting were kept in musty old tomes and couched in esoteric terminology. David and others like him have allowed me to not only grasp a lot of these concepts, but also appreciate music I have been listening to my whole life at a deeper level.
I also recommend Charles Cornell !!
As a youngen myself who’s started playing piano in the last 6 months, David’s content has been hugely beneficial
Thanks for all the work you’ve put into making such great content. I don’t always understand the theory that you’re discussing, but I love to learn more about the music that I hear every day.
Thanks 😊
I came across your ‘Beatles and modes’ video about a year ago and have since watched a plethora of your other videos. As others have mentioned in the comments section previously, you really are a highly skilled communicator and teacher; for example after watching your “Modes and Norwegian Wood” video, I understood how modes work and coudd work them out for that and other songs. I’m surprised, incidentally, that female viewers are about 10%.
May your channel continue to prosper!
I was also surprised at that. I find it a very female- and general-audience-friendly channel, and to have such a low proportion of us watching seems odd. Maybe the recommendations just aren’t getting to enough of us…
Ayoo, i’m part of the 3% brazilian audience that you have lol! Amazing video, you helped me A LOT with understanding music theory and its terms in english. Wish you the best from Brazil ❤🇧🇷
Hello from America! It’s nice to see people from different countries appreciate quality content.
Great vid! Just a minor correction though from a cybersecurity guy: the “stolen cookies” you were referring to are what are called “session tokens”. Your browser doesn’t save your password when you log in (except for password managers, but that’s separate). Instead, when you log in, a website assigns you a session token which is basically like a random password that only works for as long as you are logged in. That way, like how YouTube did, the website can revoke or “expire” that token to make you have to log in again in case they think you’ve been compromised. Basically, you’re sending them that token every time you click on a new page, and the website will check it to make sure it’s still accepting that token as “you”.
Thank you David, without you, my music theory knowledge would be absolute toast and you have helped shaped me into the musician i am today! Your videos are the best i’ve ever seen on youtube, nicely layed out with good clear examples. Also helpa how you love the Beatles too.
I’m from America and currently studying to be a music teacher – I just need to pass a Masters level test to become certified. Your videos have been so helpful and I’ve learned so much from you, I’m eternally grateful to you and your work. Hopefully this time next year I’ll be working an accredited music teacher. Thank you Mr. Piano!
The more I see from you, the more I llike your channel: The way you are able to explain musical theory in a practical way, your musical abilities, the fact that you are vegan as well as you only promote products of which you are convinced, not only product wise, but also in a ethical way. Wold the world have more people like you, it would be a much better place. Thanks, (Switzerland was not on the list, but that’s where I am located).
I am very happy to hear you actually care about what the sponsor are, what their values and ethics are, and what it means to us. Thank you for that.
Yeah, some will spruik ANY old shite!
Wow! I literally found you through the original Beatles using modes video. That’s pretty cool to know that was your first actual video in this style.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
I’ve been watching and learning from your videos since 2018/19, I literally learned music theory as a whole through you like a month before I went to uni to study music. I’ve always watched one of your videos at the piano, paused, replicated the chords you describe, and then continued. I apply them to my own songs, but I only know hot to do that because you give the context and all of the different possible uses for them. I’ll always be grateful for everything you’ve taught me
😊😊😊
Your channel is amazing man. You essentially taught me music theory in the most simple way and then took my understanding to a whole new level. Preciate it 👍🏿💙
Awesome, thank you!
David, you are truly a gift to all musicians. Your videos are always interesting, and your explanations are always inviting and easy to understand. I have learned quite a lot from your channel. Thank You.
Love you Dave! Very proud of how far you’ve come and glad to have been along for the ride <3
You should be very proud of this channel David. You’ve obviously worked very hard on it and provided lots of people with a wealth of information.
