  1. Over-doing covers is a pet peeve of mine. Her cover of Creep is irritating to me

  2. I never imagined you doing shorts, but these are great!
    Perfect loop as well!

  3. I love that chord progression but if you’re an artist planning on making a new song using it, don’t make it a power ballad, try something different. We have Creep and we’re not gonna get a better version lol

    1. Honestly I like the song, great chorus! But only time will tell if it will be as iconic as Creep, Olivia has done some pretty good stuff though

  4. Y’all hating on Olivia rodrigo but I actually think she’s super talented. She is very artistic and her songs are very emotional, which is why it is super appropriate for her as an artist to use this chord prog

  5. So then why did Radiohead get sued by The Kinks for Creep sounding like a Kinks song?
edit: sorry it was The Hollies not the kinks.

    1. There were allegedly similarities in the melodies as well (and also, I think the chord progression wasn’t that common at the time)

    2. @AJFA Lo-fi Yeah. The Hollies song had a bridge section with a vocal melody that sounded fairly similar to a vocal melody in the verse section of Creep. It was only like five to seven notes. But also the bass groove of those two songs are very similar, but… I think it’s been established that you may not copyright a bass groove, only a main melody. But some of these trials are decided by juries which DO NOT have musicians in them. You combine the chord progression, bass groove, and seven notes of vocal melody with a jury of people who don’t understand songwriting and it’s easy to see how Radiohead would lose that trial.

  6. As the world caves in does something similar except the chorus starts on the IV and not the one. Still basically the same progression

  7. …something I dont like in this vocal style / melody. But a great vid again 👍🏻

  8. Yeah it’s funny that it came out like just after you made the Creep chord progression video so you’d just miss out on it. Funny though how the audio you used here wasn’t the verse, but the chorus, where the Creep chords are reversed since the chorus chords are Gm, C, F, A, Bb, Bbm, F, A, Bb, Bbm
with the progression starting on Bb rather than F.
