    1. You managed to stumble across the unlisted video via a playlist. Well done! 😄

  1. I love your videos David, they taught me a years worth of music theory lessons in a week, and they are a pleasure to watch too. This stuff is really easy once you understand it, and your way of teaching is clearly better than what people are paying for, keep it up

  2. Coming from a math background, I never fully understood why the harmonic series was called that. Now it actually makes sense

  3. I hope to see more about Arabian music in future

    1. I do plan to do a video about Arabian music in the future 😊

  4. Great video! I wonder if this could be made adaptable for MIDI using some programming….

  5. This video made me think, that music is trulery universal. When those ratios between intervals are the same everywhere, mathematicly music is similar, even in different planets.

  6. If your guitar string sounds flat, apply more pressure. If it is sharp, drop back a fret and bend up or bend behind the nut.
    Simple.

  7. I love how Jacob Collier’s audience is the average Berklee college student

  8. I wonder if you could use something like pitch correction software to identify the chord being played and fix the tuning not to 12TET but to Just Intonation. It should be fairly straightforward to write a simple synth that does that, I might give it a go.

  9. I’ve been trying to explain that to my students for years, but your video just nailed it. Thanks, David!

  10. I’m a flute player, who has to learn early, how to adjust the tuning constantly. Even changes brought upon heat or cold of the room adjusted your tuning . Many wood wind players are always aware of “being in tune”. Thank you for this video

  11. I don’t like the title, cause it depends on you definition of being in tune. But i like the video, music contain a lot of cool physic that is nice to know when you play music.
