Thanks so much for your videos…..they do help. I am slowly, very slowly, making progress. Thanks for the encouragement. Have a great weekend.
I stopped cuz my dogs thought I was serenading them. Thank you and you’re beautiful.😊
Currently at a plateau with Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. My practice doesn’t seem to go anywhere, so this video comes in handy! Thank you ^^
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I needed this video today – I was feeling a bit stuck with practice this week. ❤
Thank you for the encouragement. Some days my practice time is more successful than other days. I often feel like I’m not improving but I keep trying. Maybe one day I will have that beautiful resonating sound!
Hi Allison,
Tanks for the new video.
In this 2 weeks i practise in front of the mirror. Tanks for all❤
Hi Allison – As for plateaus: I’ve been playing the violin for more than ten years now, and I’ve reached my plateau with the violin by playing only in the first position and within the first two octaves and with a so-called finger vibrato, yet playing in many signature keys. These limitations are by choice. BTW: I play the violin several hours a day, several days a week, with the above self-imposed limitations with feeling, phrasing, “vibrato” and all that good stuff – and loving it. 😊🎻🎶
I also like to “mentally imagine” how well I’m playing. This is good brain work, and can boost one’s playing.
Definitely what I’m feeling now. Thanks for your suggestions. All make a lot of sense and I’m going to put those into practice.
That was great , thank you .
