One of my favorites from the Violet Evergarden soundtrack, thank you!
Omg same, this piece is beautiful
Violet Evergarden was an absolute journey. Can’t wait to hear this!
I was sad when animenz said Will will be his last Violet Evergarden arrangement, what a pleasant surprise this is!
violet evergarden was one of the few anime that have helped save me from myself, and though I doubt I will ever be truly okay, things like this are truly perfect, thank you
Exactly my first thought as I saw this announcement. Violet Evergarden made me believe in true love again
Just what I needed… I am going through hell the last few years. Violet Evergarden gives me hope and make me feel like a living human being again. The music is beautiful and I use it every time when I study. Thank you! Your arrangement will make my life shine again! 🥹❤️
Wishing the best for you man. I hope things get better for you
My Asian friend in Germany, I wish you luck and keep powering on through 👊💪
Evan Call is a genius composer. I personally like “Tears in the Rain”, along with “On That Fateful Night” from the movie. To me, Violet Evergarden Soundtrack is a kind of reminder to not give up, just like Violet’s journey on finding the meaning of love. There is light at the end of long dark tunnel. Therefore, I live every day as if it’s my last.
That said, Violet Evergarden will always hold a special place in my heart.
Never Coming Back is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard. The OST is indeed incredible
It’s really a pity that this happened, and I still can’t calm down… ☹️ Thank you Animenz sensei for making this timeless video! Kyoto animation will never be forgotten by us 🥹
But Kyoto animations isn’t gone, it’s back on ot’e feet. But i get what you’re trying what happened that day will always be a black page in the history of anime and all the victims can rest now.
@Noah Nas Yes!
Our LOVE for Animenz’s arrangements is unparalleled
Oh my gosh ! This is my first comment on this channel that I appreciate in the depth of my heart. My words cannot express how much I love the way you play. It gives me the strength to improving and also when I listen to your masterpieces I feel my heart burning. I want to say thank you very much and I’m really excited to listen to your interpretation of “The ultimate prince”. It is one of my favorite OST ever , this one gives me the chills!
So I want to say thank you for sharing your passion , thank you for your interpretation of “merry-go-round of life” each time I listening to this one , it reminds me of my childhood! Thank you very much because you are lightning my life with your magical hands!
Ps : Sorry if I made some mistakes because english is not my main language 😅
Animenz I wanted to say I am a self-taught pianist that looks up to you and you inspire me every day for playing piano. When I first saw your piano covers, I thought, “that could be me.” That’s when I started playing. And after 2 years, I can play your Unravel cover along with a lot other of popular ones. If you were to quit uploading, I wouldn’t have any motivation and I would quit playing piano. You probably won’t ever read this but I wish one day I can be as good as you. Amazing cover and never stop making them; I listen to every one daily lol.
Same thought with me, except after 3 years of serious piano learning (between college study), it still very hard for me and currently can’t do it. And i have experience with piano since kids (but not practice much until I see animenz)i guess it will take me more years until i can do it!
@JDG That’s great and, as other have said, extremely impressive after only 2 years of playing!
@izj gxj tbh it’s nearly impossible to learn many pieces from Animenz after 2 years of piano. Unravel is legit impossible to be played correctly even after 2 years. I may be wrong but I think there is a huge difference between saying he can play Unravel + many other pieces and what it really is.
@Crysta if you practice a lot i dont thinl it’s impossible but it would certainly be really rare not many will be determined to learn it that fast. Also there’s still a huge difference between playing it, playing it accurately without mistakes and playing it beautifully with the right dynamics and stuff like that
@Crysta u can learn anything as long as u practice it, that being said more difficult pieces take longer to learn based on your skill level, however still 100% possible
It’s amazing how all those anime memories come to surface just when you hear the music from it.
Been here for like 2 years and this channel really inspired me to start taking my piano lessons seriously again.
Thanks, man. Anime piano music is the best!
I always find it amazing how whenever i feel overwhelmed by everything that’s been happening in my life, you post a new video. Your arrangements and your music always brings be comfort and a peace of mind. Thank you so much! ❤️
I thought this saddest theme would be difficult to go through. However, as sad as it truly was, it also had a lot of serenity at the beginning, and so much strength to follow, just like Violet. This might be one of the reason Animenz has chosen VE for KyoAni. When the music comes to its end, it still hurts, yet overall, this requiem heals much more than it hurts.
Violet Evergarden was one of the Animes that I watched and loved because of Animenz’s music. However it took me more than a week to even go through the first episode, because it stirred up so much emotion and could hurt a bit to watch…but in the end, it gave me a lot of strength. So thanks KyoAni for this creation, and thanks Animenz for introducing the world of VE and it’s wonderful music to me.
Truly a wish come through to hear more of Violet’s extraordinary musical pieces especially coming from you.
No matter which instrument is playing it, the way they can all convey the same sense of poignancy of that horrible day while also serving as a reminder of hope that things can get better to me is truly a inexplicable feeling.
I’ve already wrote a bunch about Violet in Will i am so i won’t repeat what was said there but, the series continues to be one of my favourite.
How Violet paid the ultimate price of giving her arms to save the one she loves, and how she never regretted a single thing and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Highly recommend those who never heard of Violet’s other pieces to do so. Thanks Animenz for covering another one.
Praise has to be given to those that wrote these masterful creations and brought the light novels to life. It is as close as one can get to the era of amanuensis and those magnificent scenery being seen regularly.
I just finished re-watching Violet Evergarden yesterday, and today this beautiful arrangement gets uploaded
“The Ultimate Price” is literally the reason I decided to watch Violet Evergarden years ago, turns out it was and still my favorite anime till this day.
I just finish writing long comment for sadness and sorrow arrangement three days ago, so I will keep it short this time.
0:26 the left hand second voice ‘C~ B’ is singing along (and identical) with the right hand melody, same at 0:54 and 2:32. And this second voice really shine at 2:37(this is where I actually notice this second voice).
0:33 that is a very Animenz-style three hand technique.
1:25 D5 is held by the thumb while Animenz’s 4,5 finger doing some magic up there, very nice detail.
1:36 and 1:49 that Eb is very resonant
2:02 seems Animenz is currently in love with tremolo, haha.
2:16 the flowing left hand second voice adds a melancholy hue to the sound.
2:40 the right hand melody line is very well-connected, extremely expressive.
2:52 a classic ‘single note’ ending, similar to the ending of Michishirube which ends with ‘A’.
Btw, Animenz, you haven’t updated the description of Blue Bird!!!
This might simply be one of the most beautiful ost’s you’ve covered so far
It’s been 3 years already huh… this arrangements is just so perfect, all those different variations and techniques once again perfectly put together to draw an emotional arc throughout the whole piece ;____;
The left hand at 2:02 sounds so good, really makes it have it’s own melody and creates an effect that you can’t achieve with simple arpeggios!
Listening to each climactic note of this tribute brings back the sorrow of this tragedy and the lives needlessly lost 3 years ago, but at the same time the soft closing notes bring a small sense of comfort that their memories and legacy will live on through the art they have created. The most powerful moment for me is 1:34, where each of the syncopated bass notes resonates through the melodic layers like a tolling bell, reflecting the deepest pains and emotions.
